Greetings!
There is an ancient legend regarding the kingdom of Phrygia, located in modern-day Turkey, and the Grecian general and king, Alexander the Great. In Phrygia's past, at a time when it had no legitimate ruler, an oracle declared that the next man to drive an ox-cart into the capital city should be crowned king. Thus a poor peasant named Gordias found his worldly status greatly elevated. The ox-cart was left as an offering, tied to a post with an elaborate knot. The oracle further prophesied that the one who untied the knot would become king of all Asia. After many had failed to untangle the Gordian Knot, Alexander the Great came upon it. He recognized its complexity, but took a different approach to the problem and severed it with his sword. He went on to conquer Asia. Ox-carts and rope tricks may have given way to democratic elections, but one thing remains true.
The one who finds a simple, effective solution for a complex and frustrating problem will often emerge as a leader in a new field. Who will lead your company into the next decade? Who will be your key players, the ones who you rely on to slice through the complexities of the marketplace and the technological landscape? Who will find the innovative solution that leads your company into dominance in a new field?
Typically, training your employees costs a lot of money. You have to pick and choose who will learn what new skills. What do you think would happen if you gave all of your employees access to as much training as they wanted? With existing site-license customers we've seen that certain employees start to cross-train, building a knowledge base broader than their job description. They learn at home, on their own time, motivated to learn and motivated to improve themselves. When you see that level of motivation and success in an employee, you've found one of your future leaders. You'll encourage their efforts and continue to give them access to more courses and to Watershed Networks' Career Certification program. They will stay interested and engaged with their work and your company will see the returns on the bottom line as you begin to deliver better customer support, more innovative new offerings and better service.
Watershed Networks site-licenses give your users access to any of our courses for one low monthly rate. This includes the course of study required for WNCT certification, regularly $1999. Set out a challenge for your employees and you will build a stronger company and begin to define tomorrow's leadership team.
Sincerely,
